We met 22-year old Felipe in Ouro Preto at the Tourmaline Mine where we sourced every stone in this collection. He lives in the neighbouring village, and has been working there for 2 years. His preferred variety is blue Tourmaline, and the biggest one he ever found was as big as his arm's length. When we asked about his favourite part of mining, he said 'finding that one special stone and bringing it up to sparkle in the daylight'.

• Avoid immersing your piece in water and keep it away from chlorine, bleach, vinegar, ammonia, hand sanitiser, and similar liquids.
• When getting ready, put your jewelry on last, after applying makeup, perfume, hairspray, and lotions.
• We recommend removing your jewelry when washing your hands or using hand sanitiser and lotion.
• Store your jewelry in the soft pouch provided to protect it from objects that may scratch its surface.
• Keep your pieces in a cool, dry place and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can affect the colour of stones.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean your jewelry. For tougher dirt, warm soapy water can help, or you can take it to a trusted jeweler for professional cleaning.
