Ethical Criteria for Gemstone Mining
Our gemstone selection process begins with a rigorous set of criteria to ensure that every mine we work with operates with integrity and sustainability at its core. We prioritise artisanal mining methods that honour traditional craftsmanship while safeguarding the well-being of miners and their communities.We choose mines that are dedicated to fair wages and respect for human rights, ensuring that miners receive fair compensation for their work. Many of the mines we work with also focus on empowering women, including single mothers, providing them with the opportunity to transform their lives and the lives of their children. Our first collection was sourced from a women's mine in Zimbabwe, where these women are breaking barriers and creating better futures for their families through dignified, meaningful work.
